5:30 am and it’s time to make the donuts, well I this case scrambled eggs and ham and sausage. About 6:30 Lew came down and by 7 we had the food on the table. The whole team is so easy to please and take care of and when the food is done we have so much help in the kitchen that we had to make a list of who was going to help do the cleaning next, this was not planned at all but what a huge blessing.

After breakfast and clean up it was time to get the day started. And today is going to be a long day for sure.

First stop the market to get some fruit to take to Peruarbo the feeding center run by Geuliana. Oranges and Apples the kids love them and don’t get them to often.

It is a dry and dirty place where some of the children that live there have never seen or had a shower they simply wash of with a rag or sponge. It looks like a waste land with no trees and nothing but rock where just about everybody from 8 years old and up work in the mines.

We loved on the kids and went to two parks in the area where the team played games and ministered with song and puppet skits and then gave an invitation for prayer. After the first park we went to another one in the area and did the same to a new group of waiting adults and children.

The team did really well with the dramas and were really well received. People were standing in their doorways praying and on the roof tops watching. When it was time to leave Pastor Tim ask the team from WHWC to pray over the area.

When they brought out the Cuy everybody was looking and then wanted to be the first to try it. So they dug in, yep they dug in the head and the eyes and the whole body of the Cuy and everything else as well.

Next it was time to head to The Real Plaza which is a shopping mall here in Arequipa to do ministry in the mall with Pastor Jorge and the people of his Church Ministerios Buenas Nuevas to do drama in the mall and hand out tracks and share the gospel, this went really well we even had the police come and was very interested in them his statement to me was “this is a very interesting people”.

In the food court one woman was handed a track and she came running to one of the team crying and asking if she would please pray for her and her husband so right in the food court with the help of minister Roy she was touched by the Spirit of God.

After the mall it was time to go to the Plaza de Armus to evangelize their and then down to another mall. The dramas the team did were awesome and drew large groups to watch it was kind of funny to be walking in the behind the team as Donnia and I did because you could track where they were by the people we were meeting each one had a track in their hand and was reading it.

This outing with Ministerios Buenas Nuevas and his young people was very exciting and the youth loved it big time.

Then time to come back to the mission house eat dinner (which everybody was still kind of full from lunch) but they manage to scarf down a couple of pots of meat balls & rice and peas and carrots.

After the clean up Lew took them to the Plaza to do a little shopping and see the downtown area all light up at night.

Tomorrow Donnia and I will be cooking all day breakfast, lunch and dinner, while the team goes to a couple of Churches and also to do more street ministry.

Breakfast-Lunch & Dinner what were we thinking……………….
