Everybody came to see us off at the bus station and it was a blast . Our trip from Arequipa to Cusco on a Bus was a real nice experience. This bus is no Greyhound.

The seats lay all

the way back and the foot pad comes up and make a nice twin size bed. They have WI-FI and a computer station and on board movies. The movies are not what I would recommend to anyone but at least you can ignore them, and by 10:00 pm the lights a are out and most are going to sleep, there are only 12 people on the main floor of the bus I am not sure how many on the top floor.

Dinner is served and hot coffee or coke. As you can see Donnia was ready to snuggle in.

It was a 10 hour trip but we slept most of the way, once in Cusco our driver met us at the bus station and took us to our hotel.

This is a very nice place beautiful wood décor and a wonderful view from the 5th floor of the city and the mountains.

After a very nice private breakfast on the roof top floor, we had coffee con letche and toast with fresh butter and strawberry jam, & scrambled eggs.

Next a shower and a short nap and we were ready to tour Cusco main square.

Wow is it ever nice and the mountains that are surrounding us makes this a perfectly beautiful place spend an afternoon. We took in the main square and the beautiful architecture of this old city.

Next to the Choco Museo or the Chocolate museum where we were able to watch how they make the chocolate and smell it as is was being cooked.

Back out and around the city, time to get a little something to eat so we stopped at an out door café.

One thing about being a tourist is that everybody wants to sell you something and we bought a few things and I was able to practice my Spanish and work on my negotiating abilities, living in Arequipa I know what some things should cost and some just was not worth the hassle so we bought them for the asking price.

IS THAT RAIN!

It is raining on us! I said to Donnia or a bird just flew over, nope it is rain, we have not seen rain in five and a half months it was so nice to walk in it. Big clouds in the sky and clean fresh air Cusco is a good place to visit.

Time to walk back to our hotel we could have grabbed a taxi but the walk is so nice, narrow streets and old city sidewalks make it a very pleasant walk back to our room at El Mirador Santa Ana we would recommend this hotel to anybody who would like to stay in Cusco.

Night has fallen and the city is quite but very pretty. The air has a chill in it and it is pouring down rain. One thing about being a missionary is that you must have an adventurous spirit willing to try new things and be willing to go into sometimes very unknown surroundings with a real trust that if God is for you who can be against you. We met many people today and even were able to bless some of them, Donnia and I are so thankful for all our partners because without you we could not be here.

We travel across the world on a shoe string sort of speak, many would not venture to go on a vacation to a nearby state with what is sometimes in our bank account, but GOD ……..but GOD always faithful to provide has and will and we will and do and will continue to do ……….
